Hg Consult Hires Patrick Rhoads
Being a NCAA D1 wrestler and graduating with a Civil Engineering degree requires dedication and hard work.
Hg Consult is pleased to announce that Patrick Rhoads, EI, has joined the firm as a civil engineer. Patrick’s hire supplements Hg’s continued growth in roadway design, GIS, construction inspection, and transportation planning. As a May 2016 graduate from the University of Iowa, Patrick obtained a B.S.E. in Civil Engineering, an Engineering Intern Certificate (formerly E.I.T.), all while becoming a NCAA D1 national qualifier for the most dominate collegiate wrestling program in the nation.
Patrick’s strong dedication to working hard came from his youth wrestling club mentor, Hg Consult’s President, Earl Harrison, Jr. Since childhood, Earl has provided Patrick inspiration to excel in math and science, including hiring Patrick as a summer intern during his sophomore year in High School. “I have known and respected Patrick since he was a junior wrestler and I jumped at the chance to bring someone of his caliber into our firm. We look forward to Patrick’s long and successful career at Hg Consult,” said Earl Harrison Jr., Hg Consult President.
Throughout college, Patrick was able to gain experience in construction field inspection with an internship at McClure Engineering Co. and gained invaluable technical experience in GIS with the Urban & Regional Planning Department at Iowa. With the guidance of Hg’s engineering and planning staff, Patrick plans to gain his P.E. Licensure to further Hg’s outreach in the Midwest in just under 4 years.
