As part of MARC’s Regional Preventive Maintenance Program (RPM), Hg Consult provided CEI services on local roadways in Cass, Clay, Jackson and Platte counties. The RPM program, funded by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA), allocated $8.3 million to the region to address the impacts of COVID-19 related to transportation programs and did not require a local funding match. Hg's responsibilities included documenting mill, overlay, and microsurfacing activities, conducting aggregate gradations, and testing asphalt density after newly placed asphalt surfaces. Key tasks involved keeping daily records of construction progress, tracking material lots for sample and testing frequencies, performing required QC/QA testing, and coordinating results with the project management team.
