The original Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) analyzed improvements to an 18-mile stretch of I-70 from east of Route BB to Route Z, including upgrades to the I-70/US 63 interchange. The planned improvements include expanding I-70 to six lanes in each direction and enhancing all interchanges within the corridor. Hg Consult led all aspects of the SIU EIS re-evaluation, including the conceptual alternatives and cost estimates for the mainline and interchanges. The re-evaluation provided MoDOT with the necessary documentation to advance Project 1 of the Improve I-70 program.
